Athletics Ireland Fit4Summer Camps in Athlone will be held in Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) giving children the chance to try a whole range of athletics activities such as sprinting, javelin, hurdles, shot putt, long jump, walks and relays during the summer holidays.
Fit4Summer Camps are open to boys and girls aged 6+ and are run by fully accredited Athletics Ireland Fit4Life Leaders. The camps will take place in AIT for two weeks in July. Each camp begins on a Monday and runs right through to Friday from 10.30am to 2.30pm starting July 8th to 12th, 15th to 19th.
As well as learning new skills, making new friends whilst having lots of fun each child will go home with a Fit4Summer Tshirt, spike bag and participation certificate.
Camps are open to children aged 6+ and are priced at €50 for one week with a €10 discount for a second child.

Bailieborough AC will be hosting its Castle Lake 10km on Sunday 9th June. Athletes can enter online at www.runireland.com or in St Anne’s Hall, Bailieborough from 10.00am. Race starts at 12pm.

Dundrum South Dublin Athletic Club is proud to present our 2nd annual Marathon Talk 26.2. Whether you’re thinking of doing your first marathon or looking for tips on how to improve your last Marathon time, this talk series should not be missed by anyone interested in marathon running. The speakers will enlighten you on the many aspects of endurance running, sharing their experiences in a most practical way during this unusual assembly of speakers from Novice, Experienced & Elite at the distance. The Marathon Talk will take place on Tuesday 25 June in Ballinteer Community School, Dublin 16. Registration Tea & Coffee 6.30pm Talk Commences 7.15pm Sharp. Cost €15 per talk or book both talks for €25

Cavan County Athletic Board would like to extend its condolances to the Murphy family following the death overnight in Cork of Jimmy Murphy, father of Annalee coach Rob Murphy.
As a mark of respect, Sunday's Spring League Leg 2 competition has been postponed to 28th April.

Ulster Athletic Council has aquired new photo finish and electronic timing equipment. Anyone who interested in training to use this equipment at Cavan and Ulster competitions please send their names on the County Secretary, Simon Nulty or Ulster Secretary John McDermott. Training will take place in Donegal, dates yet to be confirmed.
